Winner of the 2020 Marzee Prize, Pei Wu was born in Taiwan and is now based in London. Her work is both intuitive and emotional, often inspired by personal experiences and enriched by collected narratives.
In ‘Dynamic Balance’, she plays on contrasts in perception. Her works convey a balance between softness and rigour, ‘oppressive forms with an adorable appearance’. Through this language, she explores how emotions can be contained within materials and shared with the viewer.
Presented in 2026 in Carat Color Cut Clarity alongside Julia Maria Künnap, Julia Obermaier, Terhi Tolvanen, Erik Lijzenga, Oles Tsura, Anna Ariu, Ambroise Degenève, Natascha Frechen, and Stefanie Verhoef.
