For the fourth year running, Hectare is partnering BeCraft and awarding a ‘Coup de Pouce’ prize to two artists in the Tremplin competition. Each year, this competition brings together the end-of-study work of around fifty graduates from a dozen art schools in Wallonia and Brussels.
Hectare congratulates Charlotte Renaud and Henri van Lierde.
Congratulations to Charlotte Renaud for her contemporary reinterpretation of batik, an ancient craft based on the principle of reserve. Her felted wool samples reveal promising work, where solids and voids create subtle plays of transparency.
Congratulations to Henri van Lierde for the sensitivity of his approach and the technical mastery of his brooch. Les Larmes d’Estelle transports us to a world that is both tender and surreal. A narrative jewel where every detail seems to convey emotion.
