Christoph Straube uses the smooth surface of steel and simple shapes as a blank canvas. Using enamel and masterful gradations, he creates illusions of three-dimensional volume. His works depict an illusory space that can only be perceived by the eye.

Born in Munich in 1971, Christoph Straub lives and works in Nuremberg. Trained in Germany, he has made a name for himself with his unique approach, which is represented in several public collections, including the Grassi Museum in Leipzig and the MAK in Vienna.
Featured in Boîte avec couvercle, an exhibition dedicated to the dialogue between jewelry and receptacle, he explored the notion of support and perceptual space.
