Xinyi is a designer who transforms used electronic components into contemporary jewellery that she calls her Artificial Intelligems. Inspired by the shapes, textures and colours of these technological fragments, she reveals the hidden beauty of these objects from our digital world.
Through her jewellery, she also questions our relationship with technology, between the virtual world and tangible reality. Her work combines traditional jewellery-making techniques with contemporary processes such as CAD, laser cutting and electrolysis, giving new life to e-waste transformed into precious adornments.
